This compact lens design is for a 1.3:1 forward projection zoom lens to be utilized with a 21mm diagonal DLP and TIR prism constructed of BK7 glass. It is telecentric in image space. The F/number varies from F/2.2 to F/2.7. It has a reduced number of elements compared to other comparable lens designs in order to minimize cost and incorporates Guangming glasses. Vertex-to-vertex distance of the lens is only 70mm, and the diameter of the lens is approximately 40mm, including the barrel.

Despite the fact that it is a forward projection system, the field angle coverage is quite aggressive, ranging from 22.9 degrees to 28.6 degrees center-to-corner. The illumination rolloff suffers a bit due to this wide angle.
