The design of a fixed focus, telecentric, high performance camera lens parallels that of a projection lens. SMA has designed an F/3.0 lens that captures a 67 degree field of view and provides good imaging performance across the entire field. Illumination of the image is strong - 80% at the extreme corners of the format. Lateral color is less than 6 microns, and distortion is less than 0.1%. Good imaging performance is available across the format at 100 cpmm and is telecentric in the image space.
