SMA has extensive experience with custom lens design solutions and has developed a wide range of lens designs for imaging applications from cell phone camera lenses, to digital projection lenses; from bar code scanning lenses to lenses that linearize the scan velocity of a laser spot scanned by a spinning mirror. Yet other systems have been designed to write digital data tracks on disk and tape, and still others to create a uniformly illuminated rectangle of light to illuminate a liquid crystal panel with thousands of lumens of light, and to establish optical communication links.
