SMA Project Example

SMA was engaged by a well-known bio-medical company to redesign an optical subsystem for their clinical diagnostic product. Extensive application of SMA's proprietary illumination design techniques enabled our design personnel to reduce the optical component count by nearly 75%! 

At the same time, they delivered acceptable signal levels from an illumination system consuming 85% less power and enabled the reduction of the physical volume of the module by approximately 75%. 

Bill of Materials cost for the module was similarly reduced.
